On the weekend of February 18 & 19, 2012, Senior Pastor Bruce Templeton announced his retirement from FCC effective September 30, 2013.  You can watch that part of his message and see the eNews that followed it here.

In his message he shared with FCC, with a unanimous approval of the Elders, that Scott Martin, senior associate pastor will succeed him as senior pastor, once approved by the membership.  While this process has been in the works for more than 15 months, we realize that it is fresh news to our family here at FCC.  We've created this space here on our website that will house the most up-to-date information about the transition process.  Here you'll find timelines, documents and links to videos as they are made available.

It was announced on November 3 & 4, 2012 that the members of First Christian Church had overwhelmingly shown their support by affirming Scott Martin as the next Senior Pastor at FCC.

The Team

First, an introduction to the transition team.  In November 2010, a team formed to begin the process of honoring Senior Pastor Bruce Templeton as he retires after 25 years of ministry and to oversee the procedures required by church bylaws to affirm Scott T. Martin as our new senior pastor. The men selected for that team are listed below:
