OUTREACH PRAYER MINISTRY
Prayer is the “hub” of the Outreach Ministry. Without a vital Outreach Prayer Ministry we labor in our own efforts and limit the great success that God wants to grant us. The Outreach Prayer Ministry is committed to meeting on a regular basis each month to pray specifically for those who are without Jesus Christ in their lives. They pray for the saving of lost souls locally and globally. They pray for our missionaries, our upcoming Bridge Events, our community outreach events, our weekly worship services, and the Pastor’s messages. LOCAL OUTREACH

Personal Training
The most effective way to reach the unchurched is to encourage and teach our members about their spiritual responsibility to be “hope sharers” and “inviters” with others in their daily lives for Jesus Christ. “…Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have…” (1 Peter 3:15)

Throughout the year we offer several seminars and classes that teach our members how to share their hope they have in Jesus Christ without being “weird.” We offer core classes and seminars such as, “Becoming A Contagious Christian” and “Jesus Story Presentations, Tools and Techniques”. We offer periodic classes such as “Fun and Easy Ways To Reach Your Neighbors For Jesus”, “Simple Answers To the Skeptic’s Questions About Jesus”, “How to Share Jesus at Work and Keep Your Job” and much more! Servant Evangelism
These are events that are planned throughout the course of the year to meet the felt needs of those in our community. In our world today, many people cynically believe that the church is “on the take” and question the sincerity of the church’s love for them. At First Christian Church, we want to be known as “The Church That Has Left The Building” as we enter into our community…and meet some very real needs just because that is what Jesus would do. “Community Clean-Ups”, “Home Repairs” and “Gasoline Buy Downs” are just some of the fun and fulfilling ways we use to serve our community.

Sharing Tools
Throughout the year, the Outreach Ministry provides simple and creative tools that the members can use to make it easier for them to invite their family, friends and neighbors to church. These tools range from “Creative Business Cards”, “T-Shirts”, “Yard Signs” and “Bridge Event Invitations”. These tools are free and available at the Outreach Ministry Table on Opportunity Way during church service times.
