Do You See What I See: Christmas Eve

…“Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.”         Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus.” Luke 1:28-31

 All the neighbors were filled with awe, and throughout the hill country of Judea people were talking about all these things. Everyone who heard this wondered about it, asking, “What then is this child going to be?” For the Lord’s hand was with him.
Luke 1:65-66

 …and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told. Luke 2:18-20

 Near the cross of Jesus stood his mother, his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene…..and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby… John 19:25-26

 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:The old has gone, the new is here! 2 Corinthians 5:17

 Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us, just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses and servants of the word. With this in mind, since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, I too decided to write an orderly account… Luke 1:1-3

Who, being in very natureGod,did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;rather, he made himself nothingby taking the very natureof a servant,being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man,he humbled himselfby becoming obedient to death even death on a cross!  Therefore God exalted him to the highest placeand gave him the name that is above every name… Philippians 2:6-9
